I’d forgotten about the “sympathetic pedophile” character. You know, I just don’t wake up in the morning wishing I had more sympathy for kiddie-diddlers, and I don’t think I’m all that different from most people. Also: I’m old enough to remember when they tried this “sympathy for the pedo” on tv shows back in the Seventies, and you know what? It didn’t work then — people were just sort of creeped out. It won’t work now.

PS: personally, I think it’s really unwise of the creators of this show to add pedophiles to a show with a lot of gay characters, not to mention one that is really, finally going to have “Man Sex!” — or at least that’s what John Barrowman claims. I think it’s pretty callous of the gays involved in this show towards their fellow gays. I’m already reading commentary on how stuff like this proves that kiddie sex is going to be the next thing on the “gay agenda.” Real smart, Torchwood crew.

Umm… yeah, you seem to be the sort of person who’s met lots of “tea partiers” and been threatened and terrified by them so you have the authority to make this daring claim. I totally trust you! You’re on the internet after all.
