I did not appreciate going to my dashboard and seeing everything turned into a big gray “censored” thing. I get the idea — you’re against that stupid bill that is supposed to prevent Bad Things like people stealing movies and songs, but will probably just fuck stuff up for people who don’t have lots of money. (Hint: it’s not just EEEEVile corporations who have money: governments have lots of YOUR tax money, and guess what — internet pirates more often than not also have lots of money! You know who doesn’t have a lot of money? Bloggers. Anyway.)
While your campaign against internet censorship is commendable, making me think that someone hacked into my computer and destroyed my browser and/or hacked into YOUR servers and took down my stuff is not. It just looks like you having a showoffy tantrum, as well as you treating me like a little child to “teach me a lesson.” Well I’m pretty sure that I’m older than most of the people on here, and I haven’t been a widdle baby chile that needs teaching for a long, long time. The only lesson I’m learning is that political campaigns, even ones I agree with, bring out the dick in the campaigners. Put it away.
Edited to add: oh yeah — I did not sign your petition. Internet petitions, like all petitions, are less than useless these days. Maybe instead of fussing and flailing about NOW with easily-ignored click-aways like petitions, you had instead not supported increased governmental interference in all facets of life “to help people” or “for the good of society” or whatever, we wouldn’t have a congress that thinks it should pass laws to control what people do on the internet. I’m just saying. You wanted government to “care” about you more, but this is how they show they care: by trying to control your every move, so you “won’t get hurt.”
