To be honest, I’m kind of tired of this tumblr site. I’ve had it for years, but never really felt at home in it. For a while it was dedicated to Doctor Who… but I’ve kind of gotten tired of Doctor Who. (The new show anyway. I will never get tired of the old show. Classic Doctor Who forever!)

Dear Entertainment Media and Its Fans
Please retire the word “badass.” It’s no longer as cute as it used to be. It’s overused. It’s crude. And most of all, it just indicates that the character it describes is what would in real life be called “a violent jerk.” So please? Drop it.

I decided to unfollow everyone I had previously been following. Except for a handful, most of the Tumblrs in my follow list hadn’t been updated in months if not years. Anyway, it’s not like I stopped liking anyone, I just got tired of refreshing the dash over and over again only to see the same few blogs, who have gotten interested in things that… well, aren’t my interests....

What was actually said: White people, you can cosplay whomever you want, but if the character is brown, DON'T darken yourselves for the cosplay.

What was actually said: White people, if you're so pressed to have your skin match the character in cosplay, then cosplay one of the countless pale characters that are out there already, instead of picking one of the FEW brown characters and then darkening yourselves.

What was actually said: White people, brown-skinned PoC are NOT changing/lightening their skin for cosplay and they STILL look like the characters. DON'T darken yourselves for cosplay.
